Deadlines
You have better things to worry about than another series of deadlines, therefore, we don't have any. Generally, materials will be released within 60 days of acceptance.
What to Submit
Technical feature articles can focus on a specific technology, non-product related applications or be tutorial (how-to) in nature. User-written articles are preferred. Authors should write from the perspective of the user, and make sure the article covers the problem, what was done in the past, the solution, and results obtained. Absolutely no product endorsements of any kind are allowed. Here a few suggestions:
Feature Articles - Generally, feature articles are between 600 and 2,400 words long. They should be accompanied by color photos, charts, graphs, flow schematics, or other drawings. Black & white photos are discouraged. A brief, 3-4 sentence biography of each author, describing related experience and/or expertise, company affiliation, and education must also be provided. Author photos are preferred.
Published Articles & Books - If you have already published an article in a magazine or newsletter or a book, you can submit it again to MotionMAIL. Chances are your publishers will want to get as much extra mileage out of your piece as they can . . . as long as they get credit. If you would like to submit a published article or a chapter from a book, simply fax us a copy and tell us when and where it was released. We will work with your publisher to get it released.
Tutorials - Tutorial, or "how to" articles, such as those used in InTech's "Engineer's Notebook" column, should first put the subject in perspective and explain the industry problem. Then, they should fully describe the technology or control technique, and explain possible applications. Generally, "how to" articles are between 1,000 and 2,000 words long. When possible, they should be accompanied by color photos, charts, graphs, flow schematics, or other drawings. A brief, 3-4 sentence biography of each author, describing related experience and/or expertise, company affiliation, and education must also be provided. Author photos are preferred.
